These Terms & Conditions govern all training services provided by Medical Aid Training Solutions. By confirming a course or submitting a booking form, you agree to be bound by the following terms. We ask you to periodically review this page alongside our Privacy Policy, as it may change from time to time. If something is unclear, please contact us.

1. Company details

Medical Aid Training Solutions is a UK-based provider of accredited first aid, PMVA, mental health and bespoke safety training. The company is led by Director Mark Smith and delivers courses across the UK.

2. Accreditations

All applicable courses are accredited by nationally recognised awarding bodies, including:
  • First Aid Awards (FAA).
  • National Federation for Personal Safety (NFPS).
  • Ofqual-regulated bodies.
Certificates are issued upon successful completion and may be printed or digital.

3. Booking confirmation

  • Bookings must be made via our online form, email, or written confirmation.
  • A booking is only confirmed once a confirmation email or invoice has been issued.
  • For group or onsite training, a signed agreement or deposit may be required.

4. Payments & deposits

  • Full payment is required in advance unless agreed otherwise.
  • Accepted methods include bank transfer, invoice (BACS), and approved credit/debit card processors.
  • For group bookings, a deposit may be required to secure training dates.
  • Late payments may be subject to a 5% administrative fee per month.

5. Cancellations & rescheduling

Client cancellations:
  • 14+ days before course: Full refund or free reschedule.
  • 7–13 days: 50% refund.
  • Less than 7 days: No refund (reschedule available with admin fee).
Medical Aid Training Solutions cancellations:
  • We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel a course due to trainer illness, venue issues or low enrolment.
  • In such cases, we will offer a reschedule or full refund.

6. Delegate requirements

It is the responsibility of the client to ensure:
  • Delegates are physically and mentally able to participate in the course.
  • Any accessibility or medical needs are disclosed in advance.
  • Full attendance is required to be eligible for certification.

7. Course materials & intellectual property

  • All course content, materials, and handouts remain the intellectual property of Medical Aid Training Solutions.
  • Course materials may not be copied, distributed or reused without prior written permission.

8. Certification validity & responsibility

  • Delegates are responsible for tracking their own certificate expiry dates.
  • Course validity varies by type (e.g., most First Aid certifications last 3 years; BLS is typically annual).
  • Replacement certificates may incur an admin fee.

9. Insurance & liability

  • Medical Aid Training Solutions holds full Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance.
  • We are not liable for injury, loss, or damage resulting from misuse of techniques taught after training.
  • We are not responsible for indirect loss such as loss of earnings or business interruption.

10. Warranty & quality assurance

  • We warrant that all training will be delivered by qualified instructors in line with the awarding body requirements.
  • If you are dissatisfied with the quality of a course, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.
